Calpine plans work on Sask. property

Calpine Resources says it will carry out detailed electromagnetic and magnetic surveys on its Eisler Lake, Sask. property this month. The work will cover the DD and George’s Lake auriferous zones delineated on the property during the latter part of the 1986 field season.

The objective of the geophysical programs, Calpine says, will be to further define and give priority to most favorable drill targets within, the known gold-bearing structures.

Evaluation of the results could lead to a major drill program, it adds.

Calpine has a joint venture agreement with Claude Resources for Calpine to carry 100% of the exploration costs to earn a 70% interest in the property.

The property comprises 16,300 acres located about 90 miles northeast of Lac La Ronge in northeastern Saskatchewan.
