Regina-based Vista Mines has released more assay results from Phase I of the diamond drill program conducted on its Bootleg Lake gold property earlier this spring.

Phase I consisted of over 12,500 ft of drilling in a total of 41 diamond drill holes. Phase II is currently being conducted on the Bootleg Lake property. Located five km south of Creighton, Sask., the property hosts a small former producing mine, the Rio, which was operated by previous owners.

The following assay results are taken from the WC-1 zone which was discovered during Phase I, traced over a minimum length of 600 ft and intersected at the 450 ft level.

Hole 87-12, cut a 5-ft section grading 0.205 oz gold per ton. Hole 87-17, cut a 3-ft section grading 0.153 oz. Included in that was a 5 1/2 -ft-cut grading 0.144 oz and a 1-ft section grading 0.602 oz.

On the Batty-Graham property, 25 km west of Flin Flon, Man., Saskatchewan Mining Development Corporation (SMDC), the operator, reports three days geophysical surveying over Graham gold showings No 1 and 2. The company received 62 visible gold assays.

This program is being funded by Vista to complete an option agreement with SMDC. Upon completion of the agreement, Vista will acquire a 50% interest in the property. More results are expected to be released as they occur.
