Oz and Norwood active at Forsan

A conservative estimate of reserves at the Forsan gold deposit located southeast of Val d’Or, Que., indicates 311,431 tons grading 0.14 oz gold per ton, Oz Exploration (ME) and Norwood Exploration (ME) report.

Reserves come mainly from two mineralized zones (A and C) that reach 49 ft in thickness. The estimated reserves consist of 165,216 probable tons at 0.138 oz and 146,215 possible tons at 0.142 oz.

The A zone has been defined for more than 850 ft along strike and to a depth of 328 ft. The C zone, located 160 ft across strike from the A zone, has been traced for more than 1,200 ft and to a depth ranging from 260 ft to 590 ft. Both zones are open in all directions.

Oz and Norwood have earned a combined 50% interest in the property, their partner being COATS- listed Exxeter Resources. A $1.2- million exploration program is planned for 1988.
