Red Dog project set to enter production

Reserves (all classes) at Red Dog stand at 85 million tons grading 5% lead, 17.1% zinc and 2.4 oz silver per ton.

Cominco plans to treat about half of the 440,000 tons annual output of Red Dog concentrates at its Trail, B.C., refinery, which has a nominal capa city of 300,000 tons per year. The other 220,000 tons of concentrate will be sold in Asia and Europe.
