COATS (over-the-counter) Carolin drops 10 cents

After raising $1 million in a private flow-through financing last month, Black Gregor Explorations traded actively in the 30-38 cents range this week. Anomalous, but subeconomic gold values were reported recently from the company’s joint venture property with Carlson Mines in the Swayze area near Timmins, Ont.

Down by a nickel and closing at 30 cents on the week was Milestone Resources, a company with plans to drill a nickel property in Manitoba. Last month, Milestone said it was acquiring the former Ore Fault claims in the Bird River area, and planned a 4,000-ft drilling program. Previous drilling on the claims 18 years ago indicated a possible reserve of 300,000 tons grading 0.4% copper, 0.5% nickel, along with zinc and silver values. The Bird River area of Manitoba has been actively explored several times in the past and a number of nickel-copper showings are known.
