The properties are on the Carlin trend between the operating Dee mine and the Ivanhoe deposit.
Exploration work, including geology, geochemistry, geophysics and drilling, is in progress on the Rodeo Creek project, and a reverse circulation drilling program is planned for the newly acquired Antelope Creek properties.
Meanwhile, in Ontario, Scintilore is continuing to pursue an on-going legal action against two prospectors, Donald McKinnon and John Larche of Hemlo fame.
In April, 1987 Scintilore launched a lawsuit against Larche, McKinnon and four companies (Teck, Corona, Hemlo Gold and H.G.M. Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Hemlo Gold) claiming all benefits and proceeds owing to the two prospectors from the claims staked by them at Hemlo, Ont.
Scintilore also sought ownership of the David Bell gold mine owned by joint (50/50) partners Teck Corp. (TSE) and Corona Corp. (TSE). A Supreme Court of Ontario judge dismissed that claim earlier this year ruling Scintilore had no ownership of the mine.
“The action against Larche and Mckinnon is continuing and pre- trial examinations for discovery are in the process of being completed,” said Scintilore President Theodore Polisuk.
An earlier court ruling that Scintilore could not continue its separate legal action against Teck and Corona has been appealed to the Ontario Court of Appeal and awaits hearing on the court’s list.
