The mining industry in general has grown so big that it’s quite difficult for small vendors, like our company, to get access to information on the extent of activities and property holdings of the big mining companies. Although we have heard of Echo Bay Mines in the past, it’s only after reading your article that we came to know more about the company and its vast network of property holdings and mining operations.
Based on this experience, therefore, we would suggest that The Northern Miner regularly run a “Miner Profile” featuring a mining company in every issue. Perhaps you may alternate your feature of mining companies between Canada and the U.S.
Should this suggestion be acceptable to you, we assure you that we will collect every profile that you run. And we are sure there are many other small companies serving the mining industry who would do the same.
Reading company profiles such as that of Echo Bay Mines is very educational and informative on our part, without mentioning the enhancement it brings your publication. Rene N. Sumodobila Marketing Director Partraco Inc. Hayward, Calif.
