A number of spectacular assay results for both precious and base metals were reported by Prime Resources Group (VSE) from recent drilling on the 21B deposit at the Eskay Creek project north of Stewart, B.C. The results leave no doubt as to the high-grade polymetallic nature of the deposit, owned 50% by Calpine Resources, a subsidiary of Prime, and 50% by Stikine Resources (VSE).
Some of the better gold and silver assay results from recent infill drilling are: 36.1 ft. grading 1.72 oz. gold and 41.55 oz. silver per ton, including 19.7 ft. of 3.06 oz. gold and 72.43 oz. silver.
Other notable results include: 16.4 ft. grading 3.87 oz. gold and 38.96 oz. silver; 16.4 ft. of 1.84 oz. gold and 16.48 oz. silver; 26.3 ft. of 0.84 oz. gold and 25.92 oz. silver; and 16.4 ft. of 0.90 oz. gold and 3.47 oz. silver.
High-grade gold and silver values also showed well up in assay results from stepout drilling on the 21B zone, which should add tonnage to current reserves. Some of the better results are: 9.8 ft. grading 3.79 oz. gold and 273.33 oz. silver; 45.9 ft. of 0.88 oz. gold and 23.53 oz. silver and 13.1 ft. of 2.79 oz. gold and 75.95 oz. silver.
At presstime, trading in both Prime and Stikine was halted with talk on the street being that even more impressive stepout drill results were to be released.
Impressive lead, zinc and copper values were also given for a number of holes where precious metals results had been previously reported. Some of the better base metal values are: 49.2 ft. grading 7.37% lead, 13.19% zinc and 1.16% copper; 32.8 ft. of 3.03% lead, 4.11% zinc and 0.06% copper; 55.8 ft. of 4.80% lead, 9.23% zinc and 1.26% copper; 42.6 ft. of 4.70% lead, 10.15% zinc and 1.32% copper; and 88.6 ft. of 1.74% lead, 4.15% zinc and 1.06% copper.
Drilling is continuing on the property with a total of six rigs.
