The deepest hole yet drilled on Glencairn Explorations’ (ASE) Goodfish property near Kirkland Lake, Ont., has encountered 25 ft. of gold-bearing mineralization.

The mineralized zone, which was logged at a depth of 753 ft., included a 10-ft. section grading 0.24 oz. gold per ton and a 5-ft. section grading 0.15 oz. gold.

Hole 92-17 was the second of four holes designed to test the A zone at depth and along strike. In early 1990, the zone returned a 90-ft. interval grading 0.26 oz. gold.

Glencairn’s first hole was lost when it unexpectedly encountered old mine workings. The last two holes in the program are currently under way.
