Asarco workers sign new contract

Union employees at the Mission and Silver Bell mines in Arizona, copper smelters at El Paso, Tex., and Hayden, Ariz., and the copper refinery at Amarillo, Tex., ratified recently a new 3-year contract, Asarco (NYSE) reports.

The new contract, which will expire June 30, 1995, provides for wage increases totalling US$1.30 during the three years.
