Carson mobilizes exploration team

Armed with net proceeds of $5.9 million from a recent private placement, Carson Gold (VSE) is mobilizing a geologic exploration crew to begin work on a gold concession in the Kilometer 88 district of Venezuela.

Initial work will involve geochemical sampling and ground geophysics on the Morawana concession, immediately south of the Brisas Del Cuyuni and Carabobo concessions. This project is one of several concessions subject to a joint venture with Venezuelan Goldfields (VSE).

In a separate development, VenGold acquired two million units of Carson Gold, representing a 21% interest. Robert Friedland is the largest shareholder of VenGold and Eric Friedland is now chairman of Carson Gold.
