LAST BUT NOT LEAST — Barrick leaps’ on to TSE

Responding to investor demand, The Toronto Stock Exchange has added Long-Term Equity Anticipation Securities (LEAPS) for American Barrick Resources. Placer Dome LEAPS also trade on the Exchange.

LEAPS can be thought of as long-dated options given that they have expiries of one to two years in the future. LEAPS roll into or become part of the regular options class at nine months, or less, before the expiry date.
