Biron drilling at Summit gold project

Biron Bay Resources (ASE) says exploration diamond drilling has resumed at its Summit gold project in the Steeple Rock mining district of New Mexico. The target of Biron’s current work is the Norman King claim area where channel sampling in March yielded assays of 0.24 oz. gold per ton and 12.1 oz. silver over a 12-ft. width.

The sample was taken across a quartz vein structure which represents a northern extension of the Summit vein. The area of current drilling is about 5,300 ft. northwest along strike from the main Summit vein deposit.

Infill drilling completed to date has outlined a preliminary reserve of 800,000 tons grading 0.18 oz. gold and 12.63 oz. silver. The Summit vein structure is still open to the north and at depth, according to Biron Bay.
