Pikes Peak sold

Nerco Minerals is now a discontinued operation of parent Nerco (NYSE), which, earlier this year, announced it was disposing of investment in precious metals.

Nerco subsequently sold to Kennecott the Nerco Con gold mine in Yellowknife, N.W.T., and various coal projects. More recently, Independence Mining acquired, for $21 million, all outstanding stock of Pikes Peak Mining, a Nerco subsidiary. Independence is an indirect subsidiary of Minorco (NASDAQ).

Pikes Peak is operator and majority owner (67%) of the Cripple Creek and Victor Gold Mining joint venture near Cripple Creek, Colo.
