Junior Icon Resources (ASE) has agreed to acquire a 51% interest in the Hemmingford zinc property.
The property, 35 miles south of Montreal, contains several geochemical zinc anomalies and has good potential to host a Mississippi Valley-type zinc deposit.
Previous drilling intersected up to 4.8% zinc in dolomites, but Icon believes the strongest zinc anomaly has yet to be adequately tested.
To test its hypothesis, Icon will drill 15-20 shallow holes later this month.
