NEWS ROUNDUP — Glimmer considers more drilling

Additional drilling is being considered for the Hislop gold property, east of Timmins, Ont.

Partners Hemlo Gold Mines (TSE) and Glimmer Resources (VSE) are tentatively planning a 5,240-metre program consisting of 39 holes. The announcement was made following receipt of a summary report on the last program, completed by Noranda (TSE).

The project has been drilled for 22,739 metres (106 holes) and has a geological resource of 1.4 million tonnes averaging 9.4 grams gold per tonne. More than 60% of this resource is proven and probable.

Hemlo owns 60% of Hislop; Glimmer, 40%.
