OBITUARY — Donald Bourne

A former chief mine geologist at the Arthur White gold mine of Goldcorp (formerly Dickenson Mines) at Red Lake, Ont., Donald Bourne died recently in Toronto after a short illness.

He served as chief geologist at the mine for eight years and subsequently performed consulting work for numerous companies.

A graduate in 1950 from McMaster University with a MSc degree in geology, Bourne spent his working career in the mining industry. Outside interests included the opera.
