Barytex drilling

Drilling by International Barytex Resources (VSE) will further test targets on the Mel property, 80 km northeast of Watson Lake, Y.T.

This year’s program, budgeted at $400,000, is aimed at firming up and expanding the current Main zone reserve of 5.2 million tonnes grading 7.93% zinc, 2.15% lead and 49% barite. To test other targets, mapping and sampling are under way.

The Jeri zone will also be tested further. Last year, values of up to 16.5% zinc over a 5-metre width were obtained from trenching on the zone.
