Minefinders acquires Mexican gold play

Minera Minefinders S.A. de C.V., a wholly owned subsidiary of Vancouver-listed Minefinders, has staked a 2,200-hectare gold property in Mexico’s Sonora state.

Reconnaissance mapping and sampling on the Bolsa property has resulted in the discovery of strongly altered rocks carrying quartz-calcite stockworks that are highly anomalous in gold.

The program has also identified several structures similar in trend to those known to host mineralization in Arizona.
