Drilling on the Akie claims in northeastern British Columbia is expanding the strike and downdip extent of a recent massive sulphide discovery.
Metall Mining (TSE) is earning a 60% interest in the property from Ecstall Mining (VSE) by spending $1.5 million on
exploration and by paying $140,000.
Hole A-94-7 intersected 42.3 metres from 189.8 to 232.1 metres grading 4.75% zinc and 0.83% lead, including an 8.6-metre interval grading 6.39% zinc and 1.1% lead.
The intersection is about 90 metres downdip from hole A-94-5, which intersected 13.1 metres of 3.56% zinc and 0.61% lead.
Hole A-94-5 is 400 metres north of holes A-94-3 (8.8 metres of 2.7% zinc and 0.5% lead) and A-94-4 (10.3 metres of 2.7% zinc and 0.5% lead). Assays are pending for hole A-94-8, drilled about 1,000 metres northwest along strike from A-94-7. The hole intersected 9 metres of interbedded, laminated pyrite and sphalerite. A second hole, A-94-9, tested the zone 240 metres downdip from A-94-8.
The company is drilling two holes 500 metres north of holes A-94-5,7. The final hole of the current program will test the downdip extent below A-94-7.
