Vancouver-listed Lysander Gold is encouraged by drill results it has received from the Lorraine property near Germansen Landing, one of the earliest copper discoveries in British Columbia.
Lysander optioned the project from Kennecott and focused its exploration efforts on areas where high-grade copper-gold was intersected by widely spaced drill holes within extensive zones of copper mineralization. A hole drilled to test the Upper Main zone intersected 302 ft. grading 1.48% copper and 0.019 oz. gold per ton from 5 to 307 ft. The hole bottomed in 1.36% copper and 0.01 oz. gold. Results are awaited from two additional holes drilled from the same platform.
Results were also released from three holes drilled to test the Bishop (Extension) zone.
Hole 94-1 returned 449 ft. of 0.44% copper, which includes 134.6 ft. of 0.94% copper and 0.009 oz. gold. Hole 94-2 returned 398.7 ft. of 0.61% copper, which includes 137.8 ft. of 1.01% copper and 0.007 oz. gold. Hole 94-3 intersected 216.5 ft. of 0.6% copper, which includes 38.4 ft. of 0.95% copper and 0.027 oz. gold, and 88.6 ft. of 0.95% copper and 0.005 oz. gold. A fourth hole did not intersect the zone. Results are awaited from two additional holes testing the Bishop zone.
