Cons. Nevada finds zone at Aurora

Reverse-circulation drilling at the Aurora gold mine in Nevada is returning ore-grade mineralization over large widths.

Consolidated Nevada Goldfields (TSE), in an attempt to define the eastern extension of the Juniata vein, has stumbled across a strong quartz stockwork system that carries consistent values ranging from 0.03 to 0.054 oz. gold per ton over extensive widths. High-grade veins within the stockwork assay up to 0.15 oz. over 30 ft. Drilling tested a strike length of 250 ft. The company estimates a preliminary geological resource of 1.26 million tons grading 0.06 oz. Drill hole results include 173 ft. of 0.1 oz. for hole C9555; 99 ft. of 0.08 oz. for C9587; 132 ft. of 0.08 oz. for C9588; 177 ft. of 0.05 oz. for C9589; and 82 ft. of 0.05 oz. for C9590.

An extensive drill program will test the zone over a strike length of 1,400 ft. and at depth. The zone has the potential to be bulk-mined at lower costs. Minable reserves stand at 316,000 tons averaging 0.12 oz.
