EXPLORATION 1997 — Exploration Brex tests gold zone

A sampling program by Exploration Brex (BX-M) has resulted in the discovery of a new gold zone at the Aremu property in central Guyana.

The company says the zone was found in an unexplored area some 5 km from the Aremu vein system, which was mined on a small scale in the early 1900s to a depth of 30 metres. Ongoing work will test the theory that the new zone connects with the Aremu vein system.

Samples from test pits in the area of the new discovery returned values of 8.93 grams gold per tonne, 3.47 grams and 14.03 grams.

More pitting and sampling are planned, to be followed by a drilling program in the next few months.
