Patricia extends Lochalsh at depth

Infill drilling by Patricia Gold Mines (PAT-V) at the Island Gold project, northeast of Wawa, Ont., has hit additional gold intersections.

The drilling has extended the known depth of mineralization in the Lochalsh zone by 100 to 300 metres along its entire length of 1,000 metres.

The latest results, typical of the Lochalsh zone, include:

* 1.7 metres (from 420.3 to 422 metres) grading 10.65 grams gold per tonne, 1.3 metres (from 427.1 to 428.4 metres) of 8.46 grams gold, and 1.4 metres (from 492.9 to 494.3 metres) of 7.11 grams in hole 27;

* 1.1 metres (from 233.8 to 234.9 metres) of 8.74 grams gold and 1.7 metres (from 236.4 to 238.1 metres) of 12.52 grams gold in hole 28; * 1.1 metres (from 405.7 to 406.8 metres) of 7.32 grams gold in hole 32; and * 1.3 metres (from 380.4 to 381.7 metres) of 5.78 grams gold in hole 34.

Consulting firm Roscoe Postle Associates is updating the resource estimate, based on results from 142 surface and 50 underground diamond drill holes, as well as development of underground workings (accessible by ramp).
