Edda Resources made a strong advance to 85 cents -95 cents from the 35 cents range. The company holds a 51% interest in a private company. The private firm holds a large land position near the Namew Lake nickel deposit in Manitoba. Edda says exploration will focus on platinum group metals.
Hardrock Extension was steady at 95 cents -$1.05. The company says a 30,000-ft drill program has been recommended for its Geraldton, Ont., area gold property. Card Lake Resources was also on the winning side, advancing 30 cents to 90 cents -95 cents . Encouraging drill results have been intersected in an intial drill program completed on the company’s property in Harker Twp., Ont. One of the holes cut 4.9 ft grading 0.46 oz gold per ton. Follow-up drilling is set to start this spring.
Other better issues included Goldteck Mines at $1.55-$1.65 and Chance Mining & Exploration, which closed at 53 cents -58 cents .
