Achates, Tag claims optioned to Mirandor

A 54-claim property held equally by Achates Resources and Golden Tag Resources has been optioned to Mirandor Exploration. The claims are located in Casa Berardi Twp., Que., approximately five miles south of the Golden Pond property held by Inco Ltd. and Golden Knight Resources.

Mirandor must spend $500,000 on the claims in order to earn a 50% interest over a 3-year period. Work by the vendors has defined several geophysical conductors which warrant follow-up exploration.

In total, Achates has three of its properties optioned to other companies in return for exploration work commitments. These include 92 claims in Brongniart Twp., Que., to Corporation Falconbridge Copper and 57 claims in Duplessis and Currie twps. to Minaki Exploration.
