Underground program likely on Mooseland bet in N.S.

The log-jam of assay results in Atlantic Canada has been broken.

Tse-listed Acadia Mineral Ventures has received encouraging assay results from 32 of 51 holes drilled on its Mooseland property in Nova Scotia.

All results are being evaluated by an independent consultant based in Toronto. Indications are, an underground exploration program will be recommended when that evaluation is completed.

Two holes, put down through the second zone, the Axial zone, intersected more than 5 ft of gold mineralization. One assayed 0.55 oz gold per ton over 6.46 ft and the other averaged 0.58 over 5.61 ft. Other intersections ranged from 1-4 ft.

Structurally, the deposit is complex. The Irving zone appears to occur within and adjacent to the centre of a tightly-folded dome of metasedimentary rocks. Other intersections lie on the north and south flanks of the structure. Collectively, they are called the Axial zone.

The zones appear to plunge at a shallow angle to the east and may be cut off by a fault on the west, according to the company.
