McFinley bulk test in three months time

Milling of a 20,000-ton bulk sample is expected to begin within three months, McFinley Red Lake Mines says. The company says drill-indicated reserves on its gold property near Red Lake, Ont., total 890,000 tons grading 0.19 oz gold per ton.

However, metallurgical tests suggest grades could be as high as 0.41 oz. At the mine site, underground work has focused on rehabilitating the shaft and extending drifts on the 150-ft and 400-ft levels to 1,600 ft south of the shaft. The mineralized zones remain open along strike and at depth.
