Morono studies core samples

Preliminary results have been obtained by Morono Mines from 37 holes drilled over three gold- bearing zones on the Verneuil Twp. property located northeast of Senneterre in northern Quebec.

The company reports analysis of 560 core samples from the first zone indicates values ranging from 0.001 oz gold per ton on up to 0.93 oz. Indicated ore reserves are 317,600 tons at 0.1 oz, with possible reserves of 450,000 tons at 0.96 oz. More reserves are indicated.

The second series of bore holes was drilled on two faults, situated 1,000 ft apart, at a depth of about 250 ft and each along lengths of about 1,800 ft. Results from one fault include gold values of 0.14 oz and 0.05 oz, and from the second fault, 0.22 oz and 4.03 oz.

The company calculates indicated reserves from the three zones total 344,350 tons, and could possibly run as high as 654,660 tons.
