Can America Precious Metals says it has completed a first-tier 2,500-ft shallow drill program on the E zone at its Manitou Lakes property in northwestern Ontario.
The company says the average depth of the drill intersections through the zone was about 50 m. Drill indicated and geologically inferred (to 100 m) tonnage is estimated to be 455,000 tonnes, at a grade of 0.117 oz gold per tonne, including higher grade sections of 291,200 tonnes grading 0.157 oz, and 163,800 tonnes at 0.194 oz.
President Michael Fox says assays from the zone range up to 0.481 oz.
The company will carry out further stripping and surface sampling, before starting a deeper round of diamond drilling, Mr Fox says.
