Windy Mountain Explorations (COATS) has discovered a train of mineralized boulders stretching for 1.5 km across its MacLeod Lake property north of Chibougamau, Que. The boulder train, parallel to the direction of glacial ice movement, contains boulders with estimated copper grades of 0.3-3%. At the northeast (up ice) end of the boulder train, Windy has identified several outcrops with significant copper (chalcopyrite) and molybdenum mineralization.
Windy will conduct an IP (geophysical) survey along the length of the boulder train and its related outcrops in order to delineate new drilling targets. Last winter, Windy outlined a mineral inventory totalling 30 million tons grading 0.48% copper on the property.
