U.S.REPORT NEWS IN BRIEF Drilling in Republic camp

A drill program began in early June on ground held by Consolidated Parklane Resources (VSE) and Equinox Resources (TSE) in northeastern Washington state.

The Republic joint venture’s initial targets are on the Wardlaw property adjacent to Echo Bay Mines’ new Lamefoot gold discovery. About 12 holes will be drilled in this first phase of the Republic project, including holes to test the theory that the Lamefoot zone is dipping towards Parklane ground.

Parklane also reported that it is negotiating with two U.S. subsidiaries of major mining companies which have expressed interest in participating in the Republic project.
