N.B. reviews its mineral resources

The 15th annual review of activities will be held by the New Brunswick Department of Natural Resources and Energy Mineral Resources (NBDNR), Nov. 13-14, at the Fredericton Inn, Fredericton, N.B. As part of the agenda, The New Brunswick branch of The Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum will hold its annual meeting, Nov. 13, and elect the branch’s director for 1990-91.

Immediately after the adjournment of the CIM gathering at 9 p.m., the New Brunswick Prospectors and Developers Association will begin its annual meeting. It includes a report on materials and minerals technology.

Also on Nov. 13, the Geological Engineering Program of the University of New Brunswick will host its fifth annual open house in the Alumni Memorial Building, 5-7 p.m.

In conjunction with NBDNR, the Geological Survey of Canada will conduct a workshop on the interpretation of airborne magnetic and gamma ray spectrometric data. A second workshop will be held in Halifax, N.S. at the Lord Nelson Hotel, Nov. 15.
