The results will be incorporated into a near-surface resource being calculated by RSG Global. Kouroussa is envisaged as an open-pit mine, with underground potential.
Hole 87 intersected 3.48 grams gold per tonne over 30.4 metres. The intercept is updip of two previous equally impressive intercepts in holes 12 and 49. The mineralization lies 25 metres below surface, which is almost 70 metres above the level of mineralization found in hole 12.
Hole 88 intersected the Sanu Filanan zone with good grades of gold over 19.1 metres at an average depth of 20 metres.
Cassidy continues to test shallow targets along the Sanu Filanan zone, and plans to test for shallow targets along the JJ Vein trend as well.
Meanwhile, the X-Vein zone is showing high grades and significant bulk-tonnage potential.
Hole 7, collared 3.5 km northwest of the Sanu Filanan zone, returned 1.29 grams gold over 29 metres at a down-hole depth of 4 metres hole 7.
