Mixed results at Tyler’s Bahuerachi

Vancouver — Tyler Resources (TYS-V) reports mixed initial results from the second phase of drilling on the Bahuerachi copper project in Mexico’s Chihuahua state.

The first reverse-circulation hole intersected 30.4 metres (from 64 metres) grading 0.28% copper, including the chalcocite enrichment blanket. Farther down-hole, 15.2 metres (from 109.5 metres) of RC cuttings sampled skarn mineralization that averaged 0.25% copper.

The RC hole was a twin to previous core hole 13, which returned 23.75 metres grading 0.41% copper.

The latest core hole, no. 15, intersected 143 metres (from a depth of 16 metres) averaging 0.71% copper, 0.22% zinc and 6 grams silver per tonne. Farther downhole, a 5.6-metre intercept of breccia-skarn material (from 160.7 metres) averaged 2.15% copper, 0.62% zinc, 31 grams silver and 0.24 gram gold. The chalcocite enrichment zone was encountered at a depth of 28-60 metres and averaged 1.17% copper. The hole ended in mineralization.

The main mineralization at Bahuerachi is porphyry-style copper in felsic intrusives. Associated zones of high-grade endoskarns and exoskarns occur along the periphery of the intrusion. Hydrothermal breccia mineralized volcano-sediments of Cretaceous age are thought to be related to later hydrothermal phases associated with the intrusion.

Tyler acquired its interest in the project in 1993; it is a 50-50 joint venture with CDG Investments (CDGI-C).

Tyler has 68.7 million shares outstanding and recently traded at $1.20.
