Birch Mountain — Larry Shelley appointed board advisor; Russ Gerrish appointed VP of engineering and operations; Hansine Ullberg appointed VP of finance and CFO.

Canyon Res. — Richard De Voto is slated to retire as president effective March 1, but will remain chairman and director.

Champion Bear Res. — Ross Lawrence appointed director.

Clan Res. — Paul Matysek appointed president and CEO; James G. Watt resigned as president and appointed chairman.

Gold Reserve — Gregory Sharp appointed metallurgist for the Brisas project; Dan Thompson appointed manager of technical services; Milton Diaz appointed manager of special projects in Venezuela; Oswaldo Nass appointed manager of technical services in Venezuela; Carlos Guia appointed institutional relations manager in Venezuela.

Kinross Gold — Robert Buchan is slated to step down as president and CEO effective April 27, but will remain as chairman.

Teck Cominco — Donald Lindsay appointed president effective Jan. 1, 2005. Lindsay is expected to add CEO to his title when David Thompson retires in April.
