Three recent drill holes put down by
Drill hole BAH-40 cut a 177.3-metre intersection grading 0.34% copper with minor silver, gold, molybdenum and zinc credits in a sedimentary sequence intruded by quartz-feldspar porphyry. The mineralization mainly developed in a minor skarn interval at the intrusive contact.
In a copper-enriched 30-metre interval in the longer intersection, where a chalcocite blanket had formed, grades averaged 1.1% copper, 0.015% molybdenum, 2.1 grams silver and 0.04 gram gold per tonne.
Hole BAH-38 intersected 36.1 metres of sediments, skarn and porphyry, with grades of 0.45% copper and 0.016% molybdenum, plus 3.4 grams silver and 0.03 gram gold per tonne.
A third hole, BAH-39, cut a 32.5-metre section that averaged 0.34% copper and 0.012% molybdenum, plus 2.1 grams silver and 0.02 grams gold.
The new intersections are about 1 km northeast of the main area of drilling on the property, and about 1.5 km directly north of recent drilling on the Mina Mexicana and Smelter Zone prospects. Two holes on Mina Mexicana cut wide intersections with copper, gold and silver mineralization, while two on the Smelter Zone cut narrower zones with copper, molybdenum, zinc, gold and silver.
Hole BAH-34 on Mina Mexicana intersected a 117.3-metre zone with average grades of 0.31% copper, 4.2 grams silver and 0.02 gram gold per tonne. BAH-35, drilled from the same collar, intersected 99 metres running 0.33% copper, 4.7 grams silver and 0.02 gram gold per tonne. The mineralization was in quartz-feldspar porphyry and sedimentary rocks on the eastern contact of the main porphyry body.
The two holes on the Smelter Zone cut narrow zones of mineralization, including a 3.6-metre interval of iron-oxide breccia relatively near the surface that graded 0.58% copper and 0.32% zinc, with 9.4 grams silver and 0.15 gram gold per tonne. Similar rock types in the other hole returned 14.8 metres grading 1% copper and 0.2% zinc, with 3.4 grams silver and 0.04 grams gold per tonne.
A 10-metre porphyry intersection in the hole graded 0.16% copper and 0.024% molybdenum, with some silver.
Tyler is still drilling in the prospect’s Main Zone and plans 15,000 metres of reverse-circulation drilling to the north and south of the known showings. The company holds an 89% interest in the property, with the rest owned by the original vendor.
