Core Shack (November 14, 2005)

After the success of last year, the Core Shack will once again be located in the distinctive Core Tent. The Roundup Core Shack brings the leading prospects, advanced projects and operating mines from around the world to Vancouver. Mineral Exploration Roundup 2005 saw core displays from projects in seven Canadian provinces and territories and ten countries from North America, South America, Europe and Asia. Core Shack provides an excellent cross-section of new developments in the exploration and mining sectors. A new suite of the sector’s most compelling projects is displayed each day, with maps, cross-sections and project representatives on hard to answer questions.

New this year to the Core Shack will be a “Showcase of the Quesnel-Stikine Terrane Cu-Au Porphyry Deposits.” The showcase will provide delegates with a tour of the significant copper-gold porphyry deposits of the Quesnel-Stikine Terrane, from Galore Creek to Copper Mountain, and will highlight the world-class character of this belt and the exploration potential that exists. The showcase will be on display Tuesday, January 24 and Wednesday, January 25, 2006.

The Core Shack runs Tuesday, January 24 to Thursday, January 26, 2006 and is open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily.
