Vancouver — The results of a recent mapping and sampling program have provided enough data for
The postulated inferred mineral resource of 1.53 million tonnes averaging 2.8 grams gold and 178 grams silver per tonne was calculated based on sampling a 700-metre section of Vein 1, one of at least four parallel quartz breccia veins within the Dos Hornos North Zone. Based on the recent sampling and mapping program, Vein 1 has an average width of 5.5 metres and a known downdip extension of 150 metres below surface.
Data used in the estimate were collected from old Colonial-era adits, cross-cuts, sub-levels and shafts under the supervision of the company’s qualified person, engineer Ferdinand Holcapek.
The company notes the 700-metre section of Vein 1 tested “showed sufficient continuity in grade, along strike and downdip to be classified an inferred mineral resource.”
Exploration is ongoing, focused on the Dos Hornos Zone, which strikes at least 3 km.
Cream Minerals is also active in Sierra Leone, where it holds several diamond-exploration licences. One is offshore at the mouths of the Moa and Mano Rivers, while the other is an alluvial licence along the Sewa River, 70 km downstream of the Kono-Koidu diamond fields.
