Recent drilling by Inspiration Mining (ISM-T, Irmgf-O) at its Langmuir Twp. nickel project, southeast of Timmins, Ont., has intersected more nickel mineralization.
Four new holes all cut significant nickel grades, with the best result coming from hole L107-22; it intersected 6.4 metres grading 1.19% nickel, representing a true width of about 3.9 metres. The hole was collared about 30 metres east of earlier drill holes that also intersected nickel values.
The other three holes intersected significant widths of nickel sulphide mineralization grading between 0.4% and 0.5%. The nickel is hosted in komatiite volcanic rocks.
Two of the holes, including L107-22, intersected the mineralized zones downdip from the deepest workings of the former Langmuir nickel mine.
