Drilling by Houston Lake Mining (HLM-V, HLKMF-O) at the West Cedartree gold project near Sioux Narrows, Ont., has intersected high-grade gold mineralization at depth on the Dogpaw No. 1 vein.
Six of seven recent holes on the mineralized structure intersected grades over 3 grams gold per tonne, including one hole where 7.3 metres averaged 6.2 grams gold per tonne at a down-hole depth of 185.5 metres. The down-hole depth corresponds to a vertical depth of around 170 metres, and the true width would be around 4.1 metres.
Other holes in that round of drilling mainly cut grades in the 3- to 6-gram range, over widths of 1 metre or more, with some narrower high-grade intervals.
The drilling, part of a 17-hole program to establish a resource figure on the Dogpaw deposit that would comply with modern standards, has intersected mineralization as deep as 210 metres.
