Second Annual Pdac-Caracle Cup Hockey Tournament

Don’t miss the second annual PDAC-Caracle Cup Hockey Tournament which will take place on Saturday, February 28th, from 8:00 am to 6:30 pm at the Canlan Ice Sports -York, (Toronto). The tournament will comprise a minimum of six teams (maximum 8), playing in a round robin format that will culminate in a championship game. Participants from all aspects of the industry and all skill levels will compete for the honour of having their name forever enshrined on the Caracle Cup, generously donated by Caracle Creek International Consulting Inc. (CCIC). Scott Jobin-Bevans, 1st VP PDAC and a Director of CCIC explains, “Last year’s tournament, won by the Los Pendejos team, went very well and so we are looking to repeat that success. Feedback suggests that the event met its goal of bringing together people from the industry in a fun, casual atmosphere and bringing awareness and support to Mining Matters and education in the geosciences.”

Complimentary food and beverage will be available throughout the day as well as complimentary transportation, provided by a shuttle service running all day between the Fairmont Royal York Hotel and the Canlan Ice Sports facility. So come out and cheer on your favourite team! For further information on entering a team or individual player, please contact Scott Jobin-Bevans ( pdachockey@rogers.com)and check the PDAC website ( www.pdac.ca)for updates.

Excellent convention-related sponsorship opportunities are available, so please contact Lynne Beckett at sponsor@pdac.cafor details. All proceeds from this event will support students and their education in the geosciences through donations to Mining Matters.
