Jim O’Rourke, CEO, Copper Mountain Mining Corporation

He gained valuable mine development and operating experience while involved in the start-up phase of five major mines over 14 years with Placer Development Limited. Jim has more than 30 years of hands-on experience in mine evaluations, financing development, marketing and operations in Canada, the United States, South America and the Philippines. As President of Princeton Mining Corporation from 1987 to 1997, he was responsible for the acquisition of the Similco open pit copper mine; and the evaluation, financing and development of the Huckleberry open pit copper mine in northern BC. The Huckleberry project was completed on schedule at its budgeted cost of $140 million.

Currently, Jim is President of Orclann Investments Inc., a private investment company, Chairman of Compliance Energy Corporation, Former President of Huckleberry Mines Limited and a director of numerous public and private companies in mining and property development. Jim has served as a director of the Mining Association of Canada (1987- 1990), the Vancouver Board of Trade (1990) and Chairman (1992) and Director (1987-present) of the Mining Association of British Columbia. Jim was the 2005 recipient of the Edgar A. Scholz Medal for Excellence in Mine Development in British Columbia and the Yukon.

Donald R. Lindsay, President and CEO, Teck Resources Limited

Don Lindsay was appointed president of Teck in January 2005 and assumed the additional responsibility of chief executive officer four months later. Before joining Teck, Don was president of CIBC World Markets and led the bank’s Investment and Corporate Banking division as well as the Asia- Pacific region. Earlier in his career he was responsible for CIBC’s Global Mining Group. Don has a B. Sc. (Hons.) in mining engineering from Queens University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Don is currently a governor of the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation in Vancouver and is also chair of the Campaign for BC Children, which aims to raise $200 million to build a new acute care hospital. Most recently, he was awarded the 2009 Mining Person of the Year award from the Mining Association of British Columbia. Earlier in his career he served on the board of St. Michael’s Hospital Foundation in Toronto and was cochair of the Heart Health Campaign. Don was a member of the United Way’s Major Individual Giving cabinet in Toronto for several years and has also served the United Way of the Lower Mainland in B.C. as division chair for Natural Resources. He was vice-chair of the Greater Toronto Scout Foundation and chair of the Investment Committee. Don is on the board of governors of the Royal Ontario Museum. He also served for several years on the board of the Canada China Business Council.

In his capacity as chair of the International Zinc Association, Don has been actively involved in launching the Zinc Saves Kids campaign, a program in partnership with UNICEF designed to address zinc deficiency which claims the lives of as many as 450,000 children a year.

Gordon Keep, Executive Vice- President, Fiore Financial

Gordon Keep has extensive business experience in investment banking and creating public natural resource companies. Keep currently is executive vice-president of Fiore Financial Corporation, a private boutique merchant banking firm. He also serves as an officer and/or director for several natural resource companies. From January 01 to July 07, Keep was managing director of Corporate Finance at Endeavour Financial Corporation, and from September 97 until March 04, he was senior vice-president and a director of Lions Gate Entertainment Corp. Previously, he was vice-president, Corporate Finance in the Natural Resource group of Yorkton Securities Inc from April 87 to until October 97. He obtained his B. Sc. in geological science from Queen’s University in 1979 and his Master’s of Business Administration from the University of British Columbia in 1983 and is a professional geologist in the province of British Columbia.
