Video: Douglas Silver on Canada’s importance to the global mining industry

Canada has unique strengths as a mining nation, including a large land base with a “vast diversity” in its mineral endowment, access to the U.S. market, and a long and successful mining history. Those were just some of the reasons why Canada is prominent in mining and a draw for investment, said keynote speaker Douglas B. Silver at the Mining Investment Event of the North conference, organized by VID Conferences, in Quebec City on June 19. 

“More money is spent in Canada on exploration than any other country in the world,” said Silver, a geologist, founder of the Denver Gold Group and inductee into the U.S. National Mining Hall of Fame.
