Faraday Copper’s (TSX: FDY) recent discovery of the Area 51 breccia deposit on its Copper Creek project in Arizona underlines the ongoing discovery and resource expansion potential on the property, says chief executive Paul Harbidge.
Area 51, only 800 metres from the existing resource, shows wide mineralization above the cut-off grades and indicates potential for an open pit mine. This discovery is significant as it opens new avenues for resource expansion and underscores the exploration upside of the project.
“While Arizona currently accounts for about 70% of the United States copper production, Harbridge suggests the mid-tier copper producer segment is shrinking, creating opportunities for mergers, especially in regions like Arizona where significant developments in copper projects, like Faraday’s Copper Creek, are underway,” Harbidge told The Northern Miner’s western editor, Henry Lazenby, during the recent AME Roundup event in Vancouver.
