An oxide ore stockpile at Katanga Mining's Kamoto copper and cobalt project in the Democratic Republic of the Congo's Katanga province. Due to falling copper prices, the company has stopped mining producing cobalt at its nearby Tilwezembe open-pit mine and Kolwezi concentrator, but will meet market demand for cobalt concentrate from stockpiles.

Katanga Halts Cobalt Production In DRC

Katanga Mining (KAT-T, KATFF-o) has stopped producing cobalt at two connected projects in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) because of falling prices for the metal.
