Barrick plans to buy oil and gas junior

Barrick Gold (ABX-T, ABX-N) is hedging against soaring oil prices with an all-cash offer for Albertan oil and gas junior Cadence Energy (CDS-T, CDSFF-O).

Project geologist Lee Ferreira oversees mobilization of fuel to Imperial Metals' Red Chris copper-gold project in northwest British Columbia.
