Skeena Resources (TSX: SKE; OTCQX: SKREF) is pleased with the latest results from the former-producing Eskay gold mine. The best assay was 20.68 grams gold per tonne and 5 grams silver over 11.78 metres in hole SK-20-456.
These core results come from the company’s Phase 1 combined campaign of definition and exploration drilling at the project located in the Golden Triangle of B.C.
The same campaign also produced assays of 1.73 grams gold and 155 g/t silver over 42.80 metres (hole 424), 3.02 grams gold and 11 g/t silver over 31.50 metres (hole 444), 1.37 grams gold and 80 grams silver over 48.00 metres (hole 448), and 1.53 grams gold and 68 grams silver over 47.50 metres (hole 452).
The Phase 1 infill program continues to verify expected grades, thickness and continuity modeled in the 22 zone, says Skeena. Hole 424 with a gold equivalent of 3.80 grams is located 15 metres down-dip from hole 423 that returned two intervals of 3.36 grams gold equivalent over 22.50 metres and 3.33 g/t gold equivalent over 59.50 metres.
The company says there is also a near surface zone of high grade mineralization similar and parallel to the 22 zone occurring 200 metres to the northeast. This zone returned 20.68 grams gold and 5 grams silver over 11.78 metres (hole 456) and 6.18 grams gold over 7.56 metres (hole 468). Additional drilling is planned.
The Eskay Creek property has an open pit, indicated resource of 2.6 million oz. at 5.9 grams gold equivalent , and a an inferred resource of 1.4 million oz. at 3.0 grams gold equivalent. The real-time price of Skeena shares was $2.85 this morning.
