Terry Lynch, CEO of Power Nickel, says he’s using novel sonar technology to update a resource estimate in September at the Nisk project in Quebec, but a major player may invest within weeks.
Power Nickel’s Nisk project east of James Bay holds 3.1 million tonnes grading 1.6% nickel equivalent, according to historical figures, Lynch told The Northern Miner senior staff writer Colin McClelland during the recent Global Mining Symposium in Toronto.
Lynch wants to develop the world’s first high-grade carbon neutral nickel mine to feed North American battery plants. In the video below he speaks highly of working in Quebec because of its road and power infrastructure, partnerships with Indigenous peoples, and financing that helps miners and investors alike.
