VANCOUVER Based on observations from drilling, partners Thios Resources (VSE) and Eurus Resource (VSE) are reporting a general increase in sulphide content within the Black Dog horizon as drilling progresses in a southeasterly direction on the Rock & Roll property.
The two companies are midway through a $1.5-million exploration program to evaluate polymetallic massive sulphide mineralization discovered in 1990. The property is in the Iskut River district of northwestern British Columbia.
Since drilling started in mid-January, 28 drill holes totalling 3,250 metres have been completed.
The companies say this drilling, coupled with a 9-hole program carried out in 1990, confirms the presence of the Black Dog horizon over a minimum strike length of 200 metres and to a depth of at least 200 metres.
The companies report that the location of the mineralized zones and the hosting Black Dog horizon “continues to be very predictable from hole to hole, both on section and along strike.”
In addition, it was reported that the thickness of the horizon is also proving to be quite uniform, averaging 25 metres in width.
